REGISTERED NURSE
Position
Summary:
This position must have basic knowledge of urgent care with the ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluation patient care needs. This requires the ability to work effectively with physicians, physician assistants and ancillary staff to affect quality patient care. Activities include providing professional nursing care, treatments, patient assessment, assisting with medical procedures, performing simple lab procedures, and related documentation, coding and computer data entry. Interacts with patients and/or their family to communicate lab or diagnostic reports and/or test results and provide education. This position also provides occupational health services to company employees, i.e. respirator fit testing, drug screening, breath alcohol testing, audiometry and pulmonary function testing while following OHSA and federal regulations. RNs may also be assigned to coordinate and train any new employees, students, and float staff.
Qualifications:
Must be a graduate of an approved RN nursing program.
Knowledge of nursing techniques as normally acquired through completion of a nursing program culminating in licensure by the State of Michigan.
Knowledge of care and use of special procedure equipment to aid physician in an efficient manner.
Current BLS certification.
Prior experience in medical office facility or Emergency Room.
Must be able to multi task, work as a team player, and adjust rapidly to increase in patient volume.
Excellent written and interpersonal skills needed to communicate clinically and professionally with a diverse population in both an individual and group setting.
