Position Description/Requirements
The Manufacturing/Quality Engineer will be responsible for the Midland site. building. It is a dual manufacturing and quality role supporting approximately $20 million of high margin sales; the majority is for the Electronics Business. This position is fast-paced, with extensive customer interaction and requires an individual committed to customer satisfaction and delivering results. It is a high visibility role supporting sales within the Engineered Materials Product Line with extensive functional interaction beyond the immediate team to include the Sales, Marketing and Product Line functions. In addition, this individual will be a team member of the Silanes Tech Center. Opportunity abounds in this position and will offer the incumbent many avenues to deliver results through process, quality and capital improvements to the extent they are willing to take on the challenge.
Responsibilities of the Manufacturing/Quality Engineer are aligned with group priorities and are as follows:
-Maintaining and improving safety.
-Environmental reporting and compliance.
-Quality improvement.
-Handling daily production issues to ensure on-time delivery.
-Productivity improvement.
-Capital improvements.
-All the above on a timely basis to satisfy the customer.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor-level degree in the Engineering field required, A Chemical or Mechanical Engineering focus is preferred.
- 3
years experience in a manufacturing or quality engineering role.
-Self-motivated, safety focused, organized, capable of managing time with competing priorities, and able to meet project timing requirements.
- Excellent communication, troubleshooting and facilitative skills, and able to function in a team environment.
- Knowledge of SAP production and quality modules is preferred.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean, TEEP/OEE, SPC, DMAIC, and 5S is a plus.
